1/3/2022: Lamar Light & Power will begin Manual Electrical Meter Reading.

LAMAR LIGHT AND POWER has been supplying electrical energy to Lamar and the surrounding area since 1920 and today provides electrical power and energy to approximately 5,700 residents and businesses.
 
During the past 100 years much has changed. The power we provide has gone from a luxury to an essential commodity relied upon for everyday use by consumers, and critical to the operation of commerce. We are all aware that we have entered into a new “Information Age” and as such we recognize that our society today demands fast and efficient access to information that is important in our daily lives. The internet and World Wide Web are an essential part of the information network and have become increasingly important to our utility operations.
 
We take pride in our long history of providing reliable electrical service and professional customer service to our consumer-owners. It is extremely important to our Utilities Board members, our dedicated staff and me, that Lamar Light and Power is diligent in continually striving to maintain a mutually satisfying relationship with all of our consumers/owners.
